July 5, 2014

On Saturday, July 5th, 2014 the Westwood Fire Company Ambulance was dispatched at 0117 to assist the Keystone Valley Fire Department for a reported house fire.

Ambulance 44-1 responded shortly after the dispatch and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the police were reporting a garage and shed on fire. Sadsburyville Captain Brecht was the first arriving officer and confirmed the report, adding that two vehicles were also on fire and requested the "Working Fire Dispatch."

Keystone Valley Deputy Chief Gathercole arrived and established "Main Street Command" while Ambulance 44-1 and Keystone Valley Ambulance 08's crew arrived to set up rehab for the personnel. The Working Fire Dispatch added Coatesville Rescue 41, Medic 93 and Gap Lancaster Truck 4-2 for the Rapid Intervention Team.

A short time later, the fire was placed under control by Main Street Command and the County Fire Marshals were requested to the scene. Crews remained on the scene as the Fire Marshals performed an investigation of the fire.

Ambulance 44-1 cleared the scene a short time later.
