Email Print RSS Facebook Twitter RSS

By Assistant Chief Adam Grossman
June 10, 2016

On June 10th, 2016 at 1614 the Wagontown Fire Company including Ambulance 144 were dispatched to the 100 block of Ash Road in West Caln Township for a brush fire. Reports indicated that a pile of wood was on fire and possibly extending to a near by calf shed.

Wagontown Deputy Chief Reber marked on location minutes after dispatch and requested a tanker to be dispatched to provide more water to the scene. Brush 35-1, 35-2 and Tac 35 were all responding.

Engine 44-5 with a crew of 3 and Ambulance 44-1 responded. Upon arrival at the fire firefighters worked collaboratively with Wagontown Firefighters to bring the wood pile fire and calf shed under control.

Westwood EMS provided rehab to the firefighters battling the blaze. Engine 44-5 used roughly 1000 gallons of water before being cleared by the incident commander

Units: Engine 44-5, Ambulance 44-1, Ambulance 144
