Late Friday night area firefighters were called to battle a blaze in the 100 block of Ridgewood Circle in East Brandywine Township.

Once on scene East Brandywine Firefighters encountered large volumes of fire on all levels of the involved structure. Fortunately all victims were accounted for and not injured.

Several fire companies were called to the scene for mostly water and needed manpower. Due to this area being rural, fire hydrants were not readily available in a close proximity. Additional manpower was needed due to the large amount of work at hand and the not so favorable temperatures this time of year.
