On Thursday July 13, 2017 the Westwood Fire Company was dispatched to Doe Run and Buck Run Roads in East Fallowfield Township for an auto accident.

Deputy 44 (Scott) arrived on scene and established Doe Run Road Command. Ambulance 44 arrived on scene and started patient care assisted by Rescue 44 crew. Ambulance 37-1 arrived and assisted 44 crews with additional patient care.

Engine 37-1 arrived on scene along with Chief 37 (Dowlin), Crews controlled hazards around vehicle and assisted EMS loading patients. Peco, Verizon, and Comcast were all notified of the broken poles and loss of service in the area.

EMS units transported to local hospitals, Rescue 44 cleared the scene and command was transferred to Chief 37.

Fire Police from Modena and Westwood closed the road between Buck Run and Rokeby Roads, later barricades were placed at those intersections as the road would remain close for several hours.
