By Assistant Fire Chief Adam Grossman
November 1, 2017

At 0400 the Pumper Tanker was alerted to the 100 block of Lower Valley Road in Sadsbury Township, Lancaster County for a barn reported to be fully involved in flames. Engine 44-5 was part of the 2nd alarm assignment along with the Cochranville Fire Company and several other Lancaster County Fire Companies to provide additional manpower and water to the scene.

Engine 44-5 arrived and delivered 3,000 gallons of water into a portable tank to assist with fire suppression efforts. After dumping the load they continued to the fill site to get more water and shuttle it into the scene.

Engine 44-5 cleared the scene just prior to 0600 and returned to quarters after refueling.

Units: Engine 44-5
