Email Print RSS Facebook Twitter RSS

By Assistant Chief Adam Grossman
July 10, 2019

On June 10th, 2019 the Westwood Fire Company was dispatched to Spruce Street and Steel Avenue in the Westwood section of Valley Township for a wires incident. Traffic and Tac 44 both immediately responded, as well as Fire Chief McWilliams.

Upon arrival crews found an occupied tractor trailer that had taken down the wires with its tall load. The occupant self extricated and fire police shut down the road that was being blocked by the large truck. Steel Avenue was shut down for several hours between Sheeler Lane and Spruce Street until Peco could arrive to control the situation.

Units: Tac 44, Traffic 44, Chief 44
