Monday Westwood Fire and EMS visited a day care center in Highlands Corporate Center for fire prevention. Rescue 44 and Ambulance 44-1 were both on site at Lauren’s House for the learning session.

Firefighters made entry into the classroom in full turnout gear and airpack. Firefighters like to do this as sometimes children may be scared of what they see but we demonstrate there isn’t anything to be scared of.

After the classroom session about fire safety, crew members took the children around our apparatus to show the different equipment we use for emergencies. Thank you to the staff of Lauren’s House for allowing us to educate the children.
