Westwood firefighters and EMTs presented fire prevention education to the children of As We Grow Learning Center Friday. This daycare facility is located in the 1000 block of Lincoln Highway in Valley Township.

Engine 44-5 and Ambulance 44-1 were on site to present to the kids different equipment found on our apparatus and what we use the equipment for. Staff also talked about fire safety, smoke alarms and dialing 911 for emergencies.

It was very fitting for their name to be As We Grow. It is very important to teach children at a young age while they are growing about fire safety and household emergencies. Thank you to the staff of the learning center for having our crew out to educate the children.
