| On Sunday, May 23rd, 2010 the Westwood Fire Company attended the annual Memorial Day Parade in Parkesburg. The parade is held annually by the Parkesburg Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4480.
The parade began on Main Street with a service at the monument. From there, the parade traveled up Main street and down First Avenue.
This parade marked the first public appearance of our recently restored 1937 American LaFrance Pumper.
Upon completion, there was another service in front of the Parkesburg Fire Company. The services were to pay respect to those Military personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom.
The Westwood Fire Company would like to thank the Parkesburg VFW for their continued support of our Fire Company and for another kind donation which was presented to our members at the parade.
