On Saturday January 2nd, several members met at the fire house to service all the Self Contained Breathing Apparatus, better known as SCBA and do some general cleaning. The morning started with Deputy Chief Kerrigan and Captain Deckman, Lieutenant Chris Short and Fire Fighter Ryan Gorba checking all of the company owned SCBA which included the replacement of the two nine volt batteries which provide the power for the safety alert devices which are integrated into the packs. The SCBA where also checked for any other needed repairs and finially insured they where completely filled with compressed air. Along the same time of this occuring, Past Fire Chief Wayne Criswell and Fire Fighter/EMT Tim Gathercole were working on the Rescue truck cleaning each compartment and its contents. Wayne is very passionate about having everything in its place and be cleaned at all time, and we truly thank him for his dedication to this task. Fire Chief Randy Scott took the task of cleaning the bathrooms and office area. A job not too many people like to do! We then washed the floor of our engine room area. The floor which has provided a tremendouse improvement to our image is very important to keep clean and shiny. As noon approached, Captain Deckman's wife Lori provided some homemade meat balls and chicken noodle soup! Our members greatly appreciated her generousity, Thank you Lori!
