Woods Fire in Sadsbury Township

On Thursday, April 12th, 2012 Tac 44 was dispatched at 1711 to assist the Sadsburyville Fire Company operating at a woods fire in the 100 block of Compass Road in Sadsbury Township.

Sadsburyville Deputy Chief Supplee arrived on the scene had and requested additional brush units to assist. Chief Supplee initially requested ATV44 to respond, however it was already committed to the large fire at the French Creek State Park.

Tac 44 responded at 1716 along with Ambulance 44 to assist. This marked the first call for the new Ambulance 44 since being placed into service just hours earlier.

Crews arrived on the scene and assisted with suppressing the fire which encompassed a steep and rocky hillside. Sadsburyville Engine 31-1 supplied water to the scene through Tac 44.

All Westwood units cleared the scene at 1838.
