Reported House Fire in Pomeroy |

| On Monday, April 16th, 2012 Rescue 44 was dispatched at 1358 along with numerous area Fire Companies to the unit block of Helen Street in the Pomeroy section of Sadsbury Township for a reported house fire. Initial calls to 911 indicated fire alarms had activated with smoke coming from the basement. Engine 44-5 responded two minutes after dispatch at 1400 and Ambulance 44-1 responded at 1402 to also assist. Engine 44-5 was the first piece of apparatus to arrive on the scene at 1404 and crews quickly searched the home for the source of the smoke. Chief McWilliams quickly determined that a heater malfunction caused the smoke and reported this to Command. The incident was downgraded and units were released from the scene at 1416. Ambulance 44-1 immediately cleared to respond to a medical emergency in East Fallowfield Township at the same time. |
