On Saturday, June 9th, 2012 Ambulance 144 was dispatched at 1359 along with assistance from Wagontown Fire/Rescue crews to the Hibernia County Park in the area of Lions Head Drive and Wagontown Road for an injured person.

Calls to the Chester County 911 Center indicated that a male had sustained a back injury after falling on rocky terrain near a creek in the park.

The crew of Ambulance 144 arrived on the scene at 1406 and quickly gained access to the patient off the roadway and down a significant grade.

Wagontown Deputy Chief Patton arrived shortly thereafter and established "Hibernia Command."

A crew at Westwood Station 44 responded with ATV44 to provide assistance with offroad transport if needed.

Wagontown Fire/Rescue crews arrived and advised that the ATV was not needed, however manpower would be required to assist with evacuating the patient from the woods. The Westwood crew was requested to proceed in to assist with manpower.

The patient was safely and successfully extricated from the woods at 1432 and transferred into Ambulance 144 for transport to a hospital for treatment.

Traffic 44 and ATV44 cleared the scene and returned to Westwood at 1437.
