On Saturday, August 11th 2012, the Valley Township Parks and Recreation Committee held the 8th annual "Valley Day" in the field across from the Highlands Corporate Center.

There were various vendors on display and scheduled events for the Valley residents to enjoy.

Children had the opportunity to learn and practice some fire safety procedures thanks to some assistance from our friends at the Kennett Fire Company. Kennett's Fire Safety Trailer was once again on hand to simulate to the children smoke inside of a home, safe evacuation techniques, how and when to call 911.

The Valley residents had the opportunity to check out the newest pieces of Westwood apparatus that were made possible with their generous contributions and also made possible by the Valley Township Board of Supervisors.

The Westwood Fire Company would like to thank the Kennett Fire Company for the use of their Fire Prevention Trailer and also to the Valley Township Parks and Recreation Committee for the invitatation to Valley Day 2012 and we look forward to Valley Day 2013.
