Motor Vehicle Accident

On the evening of Thursday. July 18th, at 5:27 PM the Westwood Fire Company was dispatched to the 2800 block of Lincoln Highway for a report of a motor vehicle accident.

Simutaniously the Sadsburyville Fire along with an Ambulance from Keystone Valley Fire District were alert for the same area for a motor vehicle accident. Units from Sadsburyville Fire Department quickly arrived and confirmed to be in Valley Township and on Washington Lane with a single vehilce which left the roadway and had one patient still in the vehicle.

Crews quickly determined the driver of the vehicle was unconscious and was removed from the car. EMS personnel determined that the patient was in Cardiac Arrest. EMTs from Sadsburyville Fire Company QRS began CPR on the patient. As the ambulance from Keystone Valley Fire Company and Paramedics from Brandywine Hosptial arrived to take over care.

Westwood Units arrived and assisted with traffic control. There was no debris or other hazards which required the services of the Fire Department.

Command released the Westwood units as the patient was transported to Brandywine Hospital for further medical treatment.
