House Fire Reported in Wagontown

On Thursday, July 31st, 2014 the Fire Company was dispatched at 1621 to the 100 block of Meadow View Drive in the Wagontown section of West Caln Township for a reported house on fire.

Calls to the Chester County 911 Center reported that the porch roof of a home was on fire.

Wagontown Engine 35 responded quickly to the scene and arrived in less than one minute. Their firefighters quickly deployed a hose line and began extinguishing the fire.

Ambulance 144, Engine 44-5, and Ambulance 44-1 all responded to the scene.

Battalion Chief Sly arrived on the scene at 1628 and established "Meadow View Command" until the arrival of Wagontown Chief Ziegler.

Area firefighters had the fire quickly under control and remained on the scene for a short time to assess the fire damage to the roof.

Westwood personnel assisted Wagontown with repacking hose onto Wagontown Rescue 35 before clearing the scene at 1653.
