Ambulance Responds to Cornfield Accident Off the Bypass

On Monday, August 4th, 2014 Ambulance 44-1 was dispatched at 0814 to assist the Sadsburyville Fire Company for a vehicle accident on the Eastbound Route 30 Bypass at Mile Marker 268.8 in Sadsbury Township.

The calls to 911 indicated that a vehicle had traveled off the roadway into a cornfield.

Upon arrival, the crew from Sadsburyville was already on the scene and had assessed the situation and determined one occupant of the vehicle was requesting medical treatment for minor injuries.

Ambulance 44-1 loaded the injured patient into the ambulance for transport. Keystone Ambulance 08-1 was returning from a previous call and also stopped at the scene. With only one patient requiring medical attention, Ambulance 08-1 cleared the scene.

Ambulance 44-1 transported the patient to Brandywine Hospital and cleared the call at 0906.
