Ambulances Respond to Accident with Entrapment in West Caln

On Tuesday, September 9th, 2014 Ambulance 144 was dispatched at 1820 along with Fire/Rescue units from the Wagontown and Sadsburyville Fire Companies to the intersection of Routes 10 and 340 in West Caln Township for a report of a vehicle accident with entrapment.

Ambulance 144 responded within 1 minute of dispatch at 1821. Ambulance 44-1 also responded to the scene due to the severity of the incident and arrived within 10 minutes at 1830.

EMS crews worked with firefighters on the scene to quickly extricate one patient from an overturned vehicle. The extrication was completed in less than 20 minutes from the time of the collision.

Ambulance 44-1 along with Medic 93-1 on board as well as Ambulance 144 each transported one patient to Lancaster General Hospital for treatment.

Fire department personnel cleared the scene at 1856.
