Rescue and Ambulance Due on Auto Accident in West Brandywine Township

On Saturday, September 13th, 2014, Ambulance 144 and the Wagontown Fire Company were dispatched at 0111 to the 100 block of Hibernia Road in West Brandywine Township for an auto accident.

Due to the Wagontown Fire Company units also still cleaning up from the fluff fire in South Coatesville, Rescue 44 and an Engine from the Honey Brook Fire Company were also dispatched to the scene.

Wagontown Chief Ziegler, Engine 35, Rescue 44, and Honey Brook Engine 33-5 all responded at 0113 and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that reports were received of a single vehicle accident.

Wagontown Chief 35, Engine 33-5, and Ambulance 144 arrived 2 minutes later at 0115 to find one vehicle into a tree with heavy front end damage. Chief 35 advised the 911 Center that one patient would need checked for injuries sustained from the accident. Chief 35 also determined that Rescue 44 would not be needed and the response was cancelled. Chief 35 also requested a Medic to the scene for one patient requiring additional medical treatment.

Ambulance 144 and Medic 93-1 transported one patient to Brandywine Hospital for treatment.
