On Saturday, October 4th, 2014, the Westwood Fire Company along with an Engine from the Sadsburyville Fire Company were dispatched at 1932 to assist the Modena Fire Company in the 1000 block of South First Avenue in South Coatesville Borough for a reported "fluff pile."

Engine 44-5 responded three minutes after dispatch at 1935 and was advised by the "Scrap Yard Command" to supply water to Modena Engine 37-2 upon their arrival.

Coatesville Ladder 41 arrived shortly after and setup for aerial master stream operations, as the fire would need to be fought from above the pile. Additional Tankers were requested to the scene to supply an adequate water supply for the ladder truck.

Ambulance 44-1 arrived with rehab equipment for the firefighters. Crews spent a little over two hours fighting this fire and at 2017 the situation was placed under control by Command.

All units cleared the scene at 2140.
