Auto Accident with Fire in East Fallowfield Township |

On Saturday, January 3rd, 2015 Rescue 44 was dispatched at 0332 to assist the Modena Fire Company for an automobile accident with fire in the 2400 block of Strasburg Road in East Fallowfield Township. Shortly after dispatch, the East Fallowfield Township Police Department arrived on the scene confirming that the vehicle was involved in fire, however all occupants were safely out of the vehicle. Due to this change in the report, Engine 44-5 responded at 0339 before Rescue 44 to provide additional water to the scene. Modena Deputy Chief Perine arrived on the scene at 0337 confirming the report. Modena Engine 37-3 and Engine 44-5 both arrived and crews simultaneously worked to quickly extinguish the fire. EMS crews from Modena and Westwood tended to the patient who was subsequently transported to Brandywine Hospital for evaluation. Units remained on the scene until the vehicle was removed.
