Ambulance 144 Assists at Fatal Collision in East Brandywine Township

On Friday, January 23rd, 2015 Ambulance 144 was dispatched at 1833 along with Fire/Rescue units from East Brandywine and the Glen Moore Fire Company to the area of Route 322 and Buck Road in East Brandywine Township for reports of a vehicle accident with a patient unconscious.

The police department arrived on the scene shortly after dispatch and confirmed a head-on collision with the unconscious patient trapped inside a pick up truck.

East Brandywine Deputy Chief Edwards arrived on the scene at 1837 and established "Route 322 Command." Fire/Rescue crews worked to free the patient from the vehicle. Upon arrival, Ambulance 144 began to treat one of the victims in the collision prior to transporting the patient to Brandywine Hospital for treatment.

Despite the work of Fire and EMS crews, one patient succumbed to injuries sustained in the accident.

Ambulance 144 cleared the hospital at 1929.
