On Sunday, January 25th, 2015 Ambulance 144 was dispatched along with Fire/Rescue units from Wagontown Fire Company to the 100 block of Leary Road in West Caln Township for a report of a snowmobile accident.

Calls to 911 indicated that a patient had been injured in the accident and was located in a field to the rear of several residents unable to move.

With this information, Ambulance 144 requested an All-Terrain Vehicle to be dispatched to the scene, which yielded a response from ATV44. Ambulance 44-1 also responded to provide assistance due to the technical nature of the incident.

Wagontown Lieutenant Flinn arrived on the scene at established "Leary Road Command." Crews from Wagontown began to hike towards the patient to gain access and determine what would be needed to extricate the patient from the field.

ATV44 arrived on the scene and was advised to standby on the roadway. Fortunately, EMS crews were able to extricate the patient directly to the Ambulance without assistance from the ATV.

Ambulance 144 and Medic 93-3 transported the patient to Lancaster General Hospital's Trauma unit for treatment. Ambulance 144 returned to the area at 1520.
