Working Shed Fire In East Fallowfield

On April 16th, 2015 At 18:51 the Westwood Fire Company along with the Modena, Sadsburyville, and the Po-Mar-Lin Fire Companies were dispatched to the 100 block of Weston Drive in East Fallowfield Township for a reported barn fire.

Engine 44-5, Ambulance 44-1, Traffic 44 and Deputy 44 responded shortly after the dispatch and were advised that a tractor was on fire inside of a barn. Deputy 44 and an officer from the East Fallowfield Police Department arrived to find a 10x10 shed well involved on fire with exposure to a chicken coop.

Deputy 44 assumed the "Weston Command" holding the assignment to the 44 units and an Engine 37-2. Engine 44-5 arrived at 18:57 and began suppression efforts as Engine 37-2 was advised to handle the exposures. The fire was placed under control at 19:04. Weston Command requested a response from the Chester County Fire Marshals office.

Westwood and Modena crews remained on the scene until the fire marshals conducted their investigation.

Command was terminated at 20:13 with all units returning available.
