On April 29th, 2015 At 18:20, the Westwood Fire Company was dispatched to the 600 block of Old Lincoln Highway for a reported brush fire.

Engine 44-5, Tac 44, Ambulance 44-1 and Traffic 44 responded shortly after the dispatch and were advised by the 911 center that the caller reported a 50x50 area involved. Chief 44 arrived on scene to confirm the report, and requested a notification be made to Amtrak to have the approaching trains slow down while our personnel were working along the railroad tracks. Brush 37 was requested by Chief 44 due to the narrow access path to the fire, as our apparatus would not be able to easily access the fire.

Arriving units began to stretch hose to the scene to begin suppression efforts. Brush 37 arrived a short time later and assisted the Westwood crews with suppression efforts. The fire was placed under control by Chief 44 at 18:35.

Chief 44 made the assignment available at 19:18.
