On June 23rd, 2015 at 17:16 Westwood Fire Company personnel began a busy night handling several emergencies throughout Valley Township and surrounding areas. These emergencies ranged from downed trees and power wires to a reported house fire.

Tac 44 was utilized to handle most of these emergencies working closely with Valley Township Emergency Management Center and Township Supervisor Joe Sciandra to assure all notifications to the utility companies were made.

Rescue 44 was dispatched to assist the Wagontown Fire Company on a reported house fire in West Caln.

Traffic 44 worked diligently to close down roadways and assist motorists with directions to detour safely around the closed roadways during this time.

The Westwood Fire Company handled a total of 7 dispatched calls as a result of the storm. Tac 44 was flagged down to handle additional calls for service by township residents but due to the over abundance of calls to the Chester County 911 Center our personnel handled these situations on their own, with Emergency Management Coordinator Sciandra.

A big thank you to the Valley Township Street Department for assisting us with extra barricades to shut down the roadways during the storm.
