On Thursday, May 19th, 2016 several volunteer members and employees of the Westwood Fire Company Ambulance Division attended the 12th Annual Awards Banquet for the Chester County Emergency Medical Services Council, Incorporated, held at the Kennett Fire Company's Red Clay Room. This event is also held in conjunction with National EMS Week!

Multiple volunteer members and employees of Westwood were honored throughout the evening for clinical life-saving awards and accomplishments throughout the past year.

The evening began with EMS Council President Johnson addressing the nearly 300 people in attendance and introducing the special guest in attendance. Following a catered meal, the awards ceremony began.

Westwood EMS personnel were recognized for two separate clinical save incidents. The first was in West Brandywine Township with EMTs Brian Vickers and Joe Crawford along with Paramedics Leo Scaccia and Kelly Motter. A separate clinical save incident was in Valley Township on Christmas Eve where the team of John Reilly, Anthony Rambo, John Sly and Jim Pilotti and Paramedics Dave High and Theresa Delp were recognized.

Congratulations to our neighbors at the Minquas Fire Company No. 2 of Downingtown as the recipient of the Distinguished Service award.
