Car Fire On Wilmington Road in East Fallowfield

Westwood Fire and EMS were dispatched Tuesday for a car fire in the unit block of Wilmington Road in East Fallowfield Township. Firefighters received the dispatch around 1946 and Rescue 44 and Ambulance 44-1 were on the street within minutes.

At 1953 firefighters arrived to find a car's engine compartment involved with flames. Crews of Rescue 44 stretched an 1-1/2" hose line and began making an attack on the fire.

Firefighters spent several minutes applying water to the fire before being brought under control at 1958. The cause of the fire is under investigation and no injuries were reported during the incident.
