Company Assist at Sadsbury Township Accident with Entrapment

On Thursday June 30th, 2016 at 1330 the Westwood Fire Company was dispatched to assist the Keystone Valley Fire Department on an auto accident with entrapment on Valley Road in the area of Old Stottsville Road in Sadsbury Township.

Battalion Chief Sly arrived on location at 1330 and confirmed one subject trapped in one of the vehicles in the two vehicle accident.

Sadsburyville Engine 31-1 and Keystone Valley Rescue 08 arrived on location and went in service with hydraulic tools to open the vehicle for patient packaging. Rescue 44 assisted with additional equipment and manpower. The extrication was complete within 30 minutes of being on scene.

Keystone Valley EMS, Westwood EMS and Medic 93 were in service treating and transporting the injured. Fire Police from Keystone Valley and Westwood were requested to shut down Valley Road between Old Stottsville Road and Timacula Road. All units cleared the scene at 1403 with the exception of Fire Police.
