Annual East Fallowfield Park Day

On Saturday October 8th, 2016 Westwood and Modena Fire Companies took apparatus to the East Fallowfield Park for Park Day. This event is a chance for the East Fallowfield residents to come out and enjoy shows, bands, food and most of all each other. Hundreds of residents come to this event every year.

Children played all day long on the playground as others took the nature walk around the park. A car show, flea market, prizes and 50/50's were raffled off as well.

Modena crews set up a table promoting fire prevention and fire safety. The children had a chance to get their very own fire company helmet and play on the fire and EMS apparatus that were on display by both companies that service East Fallowfield Township.

Modena and Westwood personnel teamed up to put on a vehicle rescue demonstration where crews demonstrated how hydraulic rescue tools are used to open up cars for patient packaging. Chief Dowlin took the opportunity to explain step by step what was being demonstrated and then answered questions from the crowd.
