On Friday October 14th, 2016, Westwood personnel and ATV 44 loaded up and went to the Octorara School District Campuses for the annual fire prevention education series held in conjunction with fire prevention week. This years theme to fire prevention week was don't wait- check the date. Every year the Cochranville Fire Company puts on these education series for the young students to learn about fire safety and prevention.

Firefighter/EMT Crawford and Firefighter Pearce had Traffic and ATV 44 on display at the school to show the versatile use of the vehicle and the equipment carried on it. Numerous other fire companies also assisted with different types of fire apparatus on display. Crews spent roughly 5 hours at the school helping to promote fire prevention to the children.
