As night broke, so did the high winds bringing multiple fires to the county. At 1812 as Engine 44-5 was clearing a house fire in Honey Brook Township, they were dispatched to the unit block of Boro Line Road in Highland Township for a rapidly spreading woods fire. Tac 44 and Traffic 44 were responding from quarters and ATV 44 responded at 1850 hours.

Arriving at 1815, Engine 8-2 found a working fire in the woods consuming approximately 20 acres with potential to consume property. Nearby residents responded with backhoes to help contain the fire before going to far to the south. Multiple fire companies from Chester and Lancaster County were called to the scene to contain the fire.

Working well into the night, the fire was brought under control at 1934 with extensive mop up required. Final units cleared the scene at 2245.
