Within hours of conducting water supply training with the Thorndale Fire Company, Westwood Engine 44-5 was dispatched to assist them with a residential fire on Hazlewood Avenue in Caln Township. Initial units were dispatched for a house fire, and after a scene assessment it was determined additional tankers would be needed to the scene for water.

Multiple fire companies were called in to battle the blaze. Engine 44-5 assisted with a crew of 3 firefighters and completed a supply line into the scene for a water supply. Units operated on the scene for about 4 hours before being released.
