Auto Accident with Entrapment on Strasburg Road

On Tuesday September 29th, 2020 an auto accident with entrapment was dispatched for the Westwood Fire Company. At 2233 hours the company was alerted for an EMS call in the 3100 block of Strasburg Road in East Fallowfield Township. Minutes later the injured person call was upgraded to an auto accident and then with entrapment. Rescue 44, Traffic 44, Ambulance 44-1 and MICU 144 all responded to the incident.

Upon arrival firefighters confirmed a one vehicle accident with multiple patients and 2 victims trapped in the vehicle. Rescue 44 arrived and crews immediately went into service removing the doors, roof and lifting the dash to extricate the victims.

Additional EMS units responded from Keystone Valley, Modena and Tower Health Medic 93.

Fire police had Strasburg Road shutdown between Mount Carmel Road and Old Wilmington Road.
