On October 18th, 2020, the Westwood Fire Company assisted at a scrap yard fire in the 900 block of South First Avenue in South Coatesville. Engine 44-5 assisted with supplying water to the scene, initially from a fire hydrant and then by shuttling in. After nearly hauling 100,000 gallons or more of water the fire was under control with all hands working. Multiples fire companies were called in to battle the blaze.
