On Sunday April 4th, 2021 at 0037 hours the Westwood Fire Company and Medic 93 were dispatched to the eastbound Route 30 Bypass east of Country Club Road in Valley Township for an auto accident with injuries. Ambulance 44-1, Rescue 44 and Deputy 44 all made an immediate response.

Arriving at 0048, Ambulance 44-1 had a single vehicle accident in the high speed lane and went checking on injuries. Once investigated it was determined there was one patient requiring transport and no entrapment.

Deputy 44 and Rescue 44 arrived next and blocked oncoming traffic from the west side of the incident. Firefighters cleared a large amount of debris from the highway and provided scene lighting.

The vehicle was removed from the highway by a local tow company and all units cleared the scene at 0135 hours.
