On Friday April 23rd, 2021 at 1832 hours the Westwood Fire Company and automatic aid from Coatesville, Sadsburyville and Wagontown were dispatched to the 900 block of Charles Street in Valley Township for the report of smoke in a dwelling. Calls to 911 indicated smoke was filling the residence from an unknown source.

Arriving within 4 minutes of dispatch, Engine 44-5 investigated a stove fire and found the fire to be out. Firefighters ventilated the structure of smoke and firefighters secured the stove from further hazard.

The assignment was held to the Westwood Fire Company and all units cleared within 15 minutes.
