Engine 44-5 was dispatched to the 2000 block of Telegraph Road in West Caln Township for a house fire on Thursday. Firefighters from multiple fire companies were summoned to the scene of this two-alarm blaze to bring it under control. Engine 44-5 is a 3,000-gallon pumper tanker which brings a large quantity of water, equipment and manpower to the scene. Firefighters battled this in blazing temperatures for about 2 hours until the fire was under control and in the overhaul stage. Westwood EMS was also on the scene to provide care for the people involved and rehab for the firefighters engaged in suppression operations.
