On February 1st 2023 at 17:49, the company was alerted for a car fire in the 1300 block of Valley Road in the Westwood section of Valley Township. Engine 44-5 made an immediate response and arrived one minute later to find a car well involved with flames.

Rescue and Utility 31 from Sadsburyville were clearing a call in their district nearby and responded to assist.

Westwood firefighters ran the front bumper line and knocked down the flames. The car was now burning of a fuel fire from the fuel tank and multiple dry chemical fire extinguishers were used to suppress that.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Valley Road was closed for the duration of the fire and investigation period.
