| The Westwood Fire Company and mutual aid responded to the unit block of Donna Drive in Valley Township for a house fire. While the home sustained significant damage from the fire, we are glad to report that no one was injured as a result of the incident.
With the fire reported at 11:03, Battalion Chief Sly arrived at 11:08 confirming a working fire. Our Pumper/Tanker under the direction of Chief McWilliams arrived just 7 minutes after dispatch. Deputy Chief Scott coordinated interior operations.
Firefighters from Westwood Fire Company, Sadsburyville Fire Company, Wagontown Fire Company, Coatesville VAFD IAFF Local F257, Keystone Valley Fire Department, Honey Brook Fire Company, and East Brandywine Fire Company all responded to the scene.
A Rapid Intervention Team from Lionville Fire Company was cancelled as the incident was downgraded. EMS from Washington Hose Co. No. 1 also assisted at the scene. Battalion Chief Sly was the first arriving officer and served as the Incident Commander.
