| Westwood Fire Company is proud to announce that Ambulance C and Ambulance D have officially been placed into service, marking an important enhancement to the organization’s emergency medical response capabilities. Ambulance C is a brand‑new unit built to modern standards and fully equipped with advanced life‑saving tools. After comprehensive stocking and crew training, it has been assigned to service and is now responding to calls. Ambulance D is a remounted version of a previous 2015 ambulance, rebuilt and upgraded to extend its service life while incorporating updated safety and medical features. This remount approach provides a cost‑effective way to maintain a reliable fleet without compromising readiness or quality. Both units have been stocked, trained on, and settled into quarters, and they are now responding from Station 44 and Station 144. Each ambulance is capable of providing Advanced Life Support when staffed with certified personnel. Westwood Fire Company extends its sincere appreciation to its municipal partners for their continued support and investment in public safety. Their commitment makes it possible to purchase, equip, and maintain the apparatus necessary to serve residents with professionalism and reliability. Leadership at Westwood Fire Company emphasized that ensuring the community has access to dependable, high‑quality emergency medical services remains one of the organization’s highest priorities, and the addition of Ambulances C and D strengthens the company’s ability to respond quickly and effectively when residents need help. |
