| On Saturday, September 5th, 2009 the Westwood Fire Company and Modena Fire Company Ambulance was dispatched at 1355 to the Harrison House of Coatesville Senior Living Facility in Valley Township for an elevator rescue.
Ambulance 44 responded from Brandywine Hospital as they were just completing a previous medical emergency call. Washies Ambulance 41-2 was also dispatched.
Rescue 44 arrived on the scene at 1407 and met with the facility staff who advised that three occupants were trapped in a stuck elevator between the 1st and 2nd floors.
Firefighters working along with Harrison House maintenance staff were able to force entry into the elevator and extricate all three occupants without injury. The extrication was completed at 1420.
All units cleared the scene at 1423. |
