On Tuesday March 2nd, 2021 at 0649 hours the Westwood Fire Company was dispatched to the 200 block of Doe Run Road in East Fallowfield Township for an auto accident with entrapment. Rescue 44 with 3 personnel and Ambulance 44-1 made an immediate response.

While responding to this emergency, Chester County Fire Radio advised Chief 44 of a second call in the district for a cardiac arrest in the 1700 block of Dawman Road in Valley Township. MICU 144 made the response to this emergency simultaneously to the auto accident.

Arriving at 0657, Rescue 44 went into service stabilizing the vehicle that was on its side and removing the patient from it. Crews worked together with the EMS and made a quick extrication with having the patient removed within 5 minutes of the rescue arriving.

Once removed the patient refused treatment due to minor injuries and all units cleared the scene within 30 minutes. Fling's Towing responded to remove the vehicle and clear the roadway of debris.
