| This week, we celebrated 25 years since we placed our very first ambulance into service. We began in the year 2000 by purchasing a used ambulance for $35,000 and responded to our first call on November 16th, 2000. This came after establishing a Quick Response medical service in 1999.
Since that time, we have expanded from running 500 calls a year to nearly 7,500 calls annually! This year will likely be our busiest year yet — and we continue to grow.
What once started out as being all volunteer and the last all volunteer EMS company in Chester County, we now have over 50 EMS Professionals who provide basic and advanced life support services. We are proud of the hard work and dedication that our personnel have for providing critical life saving services across four stations and 16 municipalities.
We thank our municipal leaders for the continued support of our organization and our vital services. We thank the community for their support, donations, and encouragement to keep doing what we do. We thank our members and employees who have continued to show up day after day for our community over the past 25 years.
Lastly, we want to show great appreciation to John Sly — who is our current President and was instrumental in founding, growing, and maintaining our EMS service throughout its entire history.
Here’s to 25 more years, and many more lives saved! |
