On Monday, June 30th, 2014 Westwood and Sadsburyville firefighters conducted a joint training session. The topic of the night was hose line advancement and management.
Firefighters from both fire companies practiced advancing the 300' 1-3/4" attack line from the rear of Sadsburyville Engine 31-1 using one and two firefighters. Following pulling and racking that hose line, firefighters practiced pulling and racking the 350' 1-3/4" attack line off the rear of Rescue 44.
After the lines were advanced, firefighters donned their breathing apparatus and attacked live car fires. Numerous evolutions were conducted allowing all firefighters to train with the different hose line deployments and new breathing apparatus in service on the Westwood fire apparatus.
Our thanks once again to our neighbors at Sadsburyville for their continued cooperation with training. |
