| On Monday, January 9th, 2012 EMS Chief Sly and Fire Chief McWilliams visited the Braun Ambulance factory in Van Wert, Ohio where our new ambulance is being constructed.
The visit began at 0930 and the Chiefs were met by Scott Wilcox, Regional Sales Manager at the Braun factory to see the ambulance as it enters the final week of production.
The Ambulance is due to be completed on Thursday, January 12th and will be leaving the factory on Friday, January 13th to travel back to Pennsylvania to our local dealer.
During the final week of production, many of the cosmetics and final pieces of construction are completed before underdoing the Quality Inspection to ensure the vehicle was completed as ordered.
After spending several hours at the factory, only a few minor issues were discovered and will be rectified by the staff at Braun Industries prior to completion.
Once the ambulance returns to Pennsylvania, it will receive a Pennsylvania registration and then be taken to have radio communications equipment installed and will receive all of our Westwood logos and lettering prior to being placed into service. |
