| On Wednesday, June 7th, 2006 the Parkesburg Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4480 presented the Westwood Fire Company with a $1,000 donation.
The Parkesburg VFW is very active in community relations and provides donations of all kinds to many needy organizations on a monthly basis.
Recently, the VFW has provided a young child with cancer with a new swingset for her home, as well as made many donations to schools, local fire companies, and local residents in need of assistance.
This donation will go towards our expenses for our 60th Anniversary and Housing in May, 2007.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the Officers and Members of the Parkesburg VFW for their generosity and consideration shown to the Westwood Fire Company. We are very grateful to the VFW for recognizing the efforts of our local volunteers.
Thanks to Robert McMinn Photography for providing us with these great photos. |
