Traffic & Safety Advisory – Valley Township
Email Print RSS Facebook Twitter RSS

February 3, 2026

Residents and commuters are advised of a water main break in the 1100 block of W. Lincoln Highway, between Airport Road and Washington Avenue. The break has released a significant amount of water onto the roadway, creating icy and hazardous driving conditions.

Valley Township Police and Public Works Departments, and PA American Water are on scene actively managing the incident. Public Works has applied copious amounts of salt to improve roadway safety, and PA American Water crews are working to repair the damaged main.

Motorists traveling through the area should use extreme caution and slow down while passing through this active work zone.

During this incident, the Westwood Fire Company responded to two automatic fire alarms in the surrounding area. These activations were caused by fluctuations in water pressure affecting building sprinkler systems as a result of the main break.

Additional updates will be provided as information becomes available.
