February 7, 2026

At 2:48 PM, the Westwood Fire Company was dispatched to the Route 30 Bypass eastbound, in the area of mile marker 271.5 in Valley Township, for an automobile accident with unknown injuries.

Firefighter/Paramedic Reynolds arrived at 2:50 PM, reporting a single vehicle on its roof, blocking the majority of the eastbound lanes. Due to the significant traffic impact, a request was made for fire police assistance, prompting the dispatch of Sadsburyville Fire Company Traffic 31.

Intermediate 144‑1 was the first EMS unit to arrive and began patient assessment. Intermediate 44‑1 and Medic 44‑1 were also dispatched to support EMS operations.

Rescue 44 and Chief 44 arrived at 3:00 PM, positioning apparatus to block the highway and protect responders working in the roadway.

After evaluation, no injuries were reported, and all EMS units were made available. Fire police remained on scene to manage traffic until the tow company removed the vehicle and the roadway was cleared. All units cleared the scene at 3:41 PM.

Units: Rescue 44, Intermediate 44-1 and 144-1, Medic 44-1

Mutual Aid: Traffic 31
