At 12:04 PM today, the Westwood Fire Company was dispatched to the intersection of Franklin Street and Glencrest Road in Valley Township for a reported automobile fire.

Engine 44-5 responded immediately after dispatch and was informed of a sedan that was heavily involved in flames. Upon arrival, firefighters found the vehicle fully engulfed in fire and quickly began extinguishing the blaze.

Firefighters used a hose line and hand tools to access the vehicle and ensure all flames were extinguished. The fire was brought under control shortly after crews arrived, and all units cleared the scene within an hour of the initial dispatch.
